These freezers are used for individually freezing vegetables such as peas, corn, beans etc. and some robust fruits.

They use two belts the first crust freezes the products preventing them from clumping on the second belt, which freezes down to -18C. These tunnels run for long periods between defrosting

The air flow is designed for maximum pressure drop when the coils are fully frosted. Fan power is low after defrosting and gradually rises towards the end of the production period. The freezer uses axial flow fans, inverter controlled, enabling the absorbed power to be significantly reduced during the first half of the production period.

Typical freezing times range from 5 to 20 minutes.
